I first settled in Market Harborough , having moved from Wisbech following my marriage to Angela in 1977.
We had an immediate love for Market Harborough and despite moving a short distance away in 1986, moved back into Market Harborough in 2015 following my retirement after 48 years service with National Farmers Union and NFU mutual.
My membership of Market Harborough golf club has been continuous for over 30 years – it was a nine hole course and the Professional was Harry Granger.
Since then we have developed into one of the finest golf courses in Leicestershire & Rutland, having a continuing reputation for being a friendly club striving to achieve top class facilities for its members.
With the support of all members, volunteers, and through the work of the Mens Steering Group, the Captains Committee and the Board and our dedicated staff, I will continue to represent the wishes of members to the best of my ability, maintaining the traditions and values of Market Harborough golf club.
My chosen ‘Charity’ this year is “ MHGC landscape projects” to enhance the beauty of our course for the enjoyment of all members and visitors.
